2012 Fiat 500 Abarth Out of Stock
Just over a month after rolling onto dealership floors, the 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth has sold out. Supplies are so low, that Fiat has stopped accepting deposits for this model year’s model. The automaker is accepting deposits though for the 2013 Fiat 500.
The Abarth’s short and limited history has been purely golden. At first, Fiat had planned on only producing 1,000 of the hatchbacks, whose appearance has been compared to glossy, round-bodied ceramic frogs. However, after receiving a large number of deposits, Fiat increased production of the Arbaths at its plant in Toluca, Mexico to 3,000 each year.
The $22,000 vehicle competes for market share with the Mini Cooper S that costs 10% more.
