Honda has just upped its target sales numbers due to the strong sales of its Civic and CR-V models. At the start of the year, the Japanese automaker had predicted that it would move about 1.02 million units in America this year. Now, Honda says it should sell close to 1.3 million vehicles, an increase of 25% over its original projections.
Honda has done so well thus far this year, that there is a chance that it may set some sales records. As of July, it had moved 167,323 CR-Vs, which could lead it to besting the 219,000 it sold in its record-setting 2007. Meanwhile of course, the Civic just keeps on being the Civic, the top-selling compact car in America. Overall, Honda sold 732,165 through July.
